Motorcycle Helmets: Buying the Right One
Motorcycle Helmets: Buying the Right One
A helmet is an important piece of safety gear for motorcyclists. It can be the difference between life and death in an accident. Though wearing motorcycle helmets is not enforced by law everywhere, it is a prudent choice. You can be a speed and adventure lover, but you should never ride seeking thrill and adventure without taking the proper safety measures.
It is not foolish to wear a helmet while riding a bike; rather, it shows your maturity. This is because the helmet is a practical safety accessory that helps you stay safe even while enjoying the thrill of riding a bike.
If you are going to buy a helmet, you will have plenty of choices available. First you have to decide what kind of motorcycle helmets you want to try. Generally speaking, we can divide the available motorcycle helmets into four major types: the full face motorcycle helmets, three quarter motorcycle helmets, flip up motorcycle helmets, and skull caps.
]]>
Skull caps are nearly more accessory, than helmet. They provide minimal protection and are mostly preferred as style statements. If you are seriously concerned about your safety while riding, you would be better served trying the full face motorcycle helmets. They not only protect your whole face in the event of an accident, but they also save your eyes and face from bees and bugs, rain and heat, and also icy winds.
Three-quarter motorcycle helmets leave the face area open but offer full protection for your skull. With this option, you might need a pair of goggles to protect your eyes. You can also choose the flip-up motorcycle helmets. These are a kind of cross between the full face and the three-quarter motorcycle helmets. You can use them as full face helmets by flipping down the chin protection or as the three quarter helmets by flipping up the chin protection. They are comparatively heavy and costly.
Given the potentially life-saving function of helmets, you should not compromise at all on quality. Therefore, it is better to go with well-known and trusted brands. The Shoei helmet is known for its high quality. The Shoei helmet is manufactured in Japan and is quite popular around the globe. They are manufactured primarily from carbon fibers, which make these motorcycle helmets long-lasting and light. The Shoei helmet is also a popular choice in Europe. The company is very concerned about the quality of the product they manufacture, and they continuously introduce improved versions of their helmets. They also allow their customers to design helmets themselves. To gather more information you can visit www.thehelmetcenter.com. You can also select your Shoei helmet from one of their latest catalogs. Finally, keep in mind that whether you buy a Shoei helmet or a different brand, the most important thing is to wear it every time you ride.
Andrew Jones gives information about Shoei- helmet and other precious motorcycle accessories. He also enuemerates the advantages of wearing motorcycle helmetsand provides an insight on one of the most popular online motorcycle accessories store in Arizona.

Tna Wrestling 9-2-10
Tna Wrestling 9-2-10
Well in case you’re curious yes I did write a review for this past episode of RAW but for some reason I got logged out before I posted it and when I attempted to log back in I lost the entire entry. There is no way I’m rewriting that thing. In short I gave it a 7 out of 10. It was a decent show.
I will reiterate that on the next couple reviews.
So back to TNA Impact. They opened with some video footage promoting the main event of the night which is a tag match. Not sure why this is so important. After that was over Hogan’s music came on and he, Bischoff and Ms. Tessmacher came walking out. They got to the ring and Hogan was first on the mic. He called out the participants in the main event. Mr. Anderson, The Pope D’Angelo Dinero, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle. What makes this particularly unique is they’re all babyfaces and they’re all immensely popular. I’m not a big fan of Jeff Hardy but I think the other guys are great. Hogan took a moment to kiss all their asses and then Bischoff took a moment to talk about how controversial this upcoming tag match was going to be. I don’t see what’s so controversial about it. Abyss came out with that ridiculous 2 x 4. He put it down and picked up a microphone instead then got in the ring and Hogan was kind enough to indicate that Abyss wasn’t invited. Then there was some quick debate as to who “they” or “them” are. Hogan indicating that its fourtune. Abyss thankfully indicated that its not fourtune. I am very glad about that. But “they” better be something exciting. Abyss indicated that “They” would be revealing themselves on a date that only comes once a century 10-10-10. That’s a pretty long wait. And taking a quick look at a calendar its on a Sunday so we can only presume that its going to be on a PPV. I have to question the logic in making this announcement shortly before another PPV. It kind of deflates any excitement or anticipation of the upcoming PPV to make everyone think about the next one instead.
Abyss made some threats about “They” getting rid of existing TNA management and wrestlers when Jeff Hardy finally hit Abyss and the show very inconveniently went to commercial. I like that it went to commercial when it did as it made it seem somewhat spontaneous and more real. Although I have to have to point out the slightly poor storytelling of making me wonder what the point of the get together would have been without Abyss coming out to surprise everyone.
When commercial was over there was some promoting of the upcoming PPV and when that was over there was some recapping of what happened with the beautiful people over the past couple weeks. I have to criticize TNA for just not following up with what happened after the show went to commercial.
The following match was a tag match of Velvet Sky and Angelina Love of the BP versus Madison Rayne and the mystery motorcycle chick of the “Evil” Beautiful People. The fighting started outside the ring before the match started. Finally, after some drama in the middle of the ring where Madison almost got whipped in the rear with a riding crop the match started.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the BP storyline TNA is running right now. But its so easy to forget that for weeks now TNA has only had these four Knockouts. The Knockouts was a big draw for TNA and now it seems as though they’ve been forgotten about. Motorcycle Mystery Chick used her giant motorcycle helmet as a weapon so that Madison could get the pin. Then her and Madison decided to beat up on them some more.
OK, so here’s the big reveal. The Motorcycle chick was …… TARA!! Not bad. I really didn’t see it coming. Of course I don’t read all the dirt sheets and stuff as I truly want to be surprised by what goes on when I watch this stuff. If I remember correctly Tara left the company under loser leaves town rules. Am I just supposed to pretend that no longer applies or will TNA be addressing this? Tenay kind of made mention of the circumstances that Tara left under but because it was Madison that Tara lost the match to that got her fired does that mean that Madison can let her back in the company?
Stevie Richards cut a pretty good backstage promo. This is a guy that TNA has used pretty much as comedy relief or as a jobber for quite some time. Is TNA going to be giving him a push now?
There was some footage of Kurt Angle reviewing Abyss and the “They” that he keeps talking about. And also Mr. Anderson talking about RVD being injured by Abyss.
I wish I could predict Stevie Richards as the winner of the match he’s about to have with Abyss but I just can’t. Disregarding outside interference Abyss will likely win. Stevie however did attack Abyss outside the ring before the match started but it only took a minute for Abyss to get over, get both of them in the ring and get the match started. So Abyss went out and grabbed a steel chair, he was about to use it when the ref attempted to intervene but as Abyss shoved the ref out of his way Stevie did the “Stevie Kick” to Abyss in the face. Stevie got the win. Nice. Celebration didn’t last long as Abyss attacked Stevie. They showed some footage of fourtune fighting EV2 in the back. Abyss continued to beat up on Stevie a bit when he went out to grab that ridiculous 2 x 4. A nice story twist Brian Kendrick came running out to rescue Stevie. I didn’t see that coming. I hope they wrote a good backstory for that.
Mr. Anderson had a good backstage promo that he started alone when the Pope interupted. These two are great with a mic. They really sold the trust issues that those two have with each other for the upcoming tag match they have to partner in.
After commercial some members of EV2 were in the ring for a promo. Tommy Dreamer just took a moment to call out Fourtune. They came out and AJ Styles spoke first and did really well. AJ is making a far better heel than I ever thought possible. He not only did a good job of talking trash but he also did a good job of promoting the PPV coming up this Sunday. After Tommy Dreamer talked some more trash it was decided a 4 on 4 tag match was going to happen between Fourtune and EV2. Will this be yet ANOTHER week that goes by where AJ doesn’t defend his TV title? Are we just supposed to forget he made that announcement? And once again I really dislike these big 4 on 4 style tag matches. They’re not as exciting as TNA thinks they are.
When all that was over a backstage segment started with Jeff Jarrett trying to convince Samoa Joe to be in his corner again. Samoa Joe said no again.
After commercial another backstage segment of Nash and Sting walking backstage. Sting really wants to mess with Jarrett. And he’s expecting another person to show up in the match. Hogan I presume. Jeff Jarrett tried defending why he was having this match with Sting and honestly it was like listening to a politician try to explain something without making any enemies.
For the Sting and Jarrett match I predict some outside interference from more than just Kevin Nash. As for who TNA will have win its hard to predict but I’ll say Sting for the hell of it. He came out with his makeup a little different than normal. Red paint with some white mixed in with the black. Well, there was a lot of outside interference by Nash and Sting did win. After the match was over Sting started choking Jarrett with his bat when Hogan came out. When Sting got out of the ring to taunt Hogan Samoa Joe got in the ring and attacked Nash. Then there was a big stalemate and it was over.
Once again there was a confusing video segment promoting something called Shore. I have no idea what that’s about.
I have to admit this Sunday’s PPV does sound pretty good. Storyline wise there is nothing going on worth watching at all but the matches themselves sound promising.
After all that PPV promoting Brutus Magnus (in a ridiculous beret and sunglasses), Desmond Wolfe and Chelsea were all in the ring for a promo. Desmonde got to brag first. They’re bragging about being the best tag team in TNA ended and then the Motor City Machine Guns came out. They got their turns to brag and make fun of Desmond and Brutus. Both teams made some very cutting remarks towards each other. It was impressive until Desmonde asked Chelsea to say what an awesome lover Desmonde was. Chelsea more than insinuated that Desmonde isn’t very well endowed. But while it seemed as though that was going to be a reason for Desmonde to kick Chelsea out of the ring, instead, after he acted all upset and offended at what she said he turned and attacked the machine guns. The Londoners got over on the Guns. Well done segment. Ran a little long but it was good enough to not matter.
Another backstage segment. I really dislike backstage segments. Especially when they act like there isn’t a camera. EV2 were talking about something I couldn’t make out when Brian Kendrick entered their dressing room or whatever to offer his services. EV2 started to decline his offer but he talked his way into it. He’s going to be in the 4 on 4 match with EV2.
Another backstage segment with Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy. Short and sweet. But I still don’t like these segments.
For EV2 versus Fourtune I predict a win for Fourtune. Now, I thought I was paying close attention but the announcers just indicated that this is an elimination style match. I had no idea that was the concept. Overall, it has no storyline impact but I find this style of match much more entertaining so I’m glad of it. Perhaps, its my mistake and I just didn’t notice them saying it was elimination before hand. If I’m correct and they didn’t

Triumph And Tragedy: The Brilliant And Gloomy Case Of Edwin Valero
Triumph And Tragedy: The Brilliant And Gloomy Case Of Edwin Valero
Once a poor wandering boy on the streets of Merida, Venezuela, the young Edwin Valero often found himself embroiled in streets hand to hand fights; he would knock opposing lesser kids down. Having discovered the natural force and power loaded in his hands, he decided to join professional boxing for obvious reasons – for fame which is a common desire of each and every human being; the other was to free himself and his immediate family from the poignant bondage of poverty. His father was a truck driver and if my memory served me right, Edwin’s mother is plain housewife.
Most human inhabitants of this world aspire for excellence but very few ends up attaining it; this apparently collective failure plaguing humankind is at large caused by one’s blunder in the first place as to where to put himself/herself suitably underneath the sun. Any human enterprise not carefully thought out before embarking and plunging on it is primary reason why most people failed to make most out of their lives. It is kind of similar to somebody who is destined to play basketball yet frequents the soccer field. But for Edwin Valero in his formative years, it was not the case. He made the right spot as where to place himself and sent strong ripples round the world that he exists. Now he stays undefeated in 27 wins; the first 18 of which were acquired not lasting the opening round, breaking the 15 consecutive first – round KO’s recorded a hundred years ago, in 1905, by Young Otto. Valero did it on February 25, 2006. Edwin Valero’s feat did not last long however as it was broken by Tyrone Brunson on June 2007 in a victory over Jamie Waru in New Zealand, but the latter’s record – breaking achievement is highly criticized because of the apparent cherry-picking of opponents done for the sole intention of breaking the former’s.
Along the course to bagging in the 27 all knockout wins, Valero became the WBA super featherweight champion on August 5, 2006 by knocking out Vicente Mosquera of Panama. After a couple of successful and impressive defenses, he relinquished the crown and moved up the lightweight division, winning the WBC lightweight title by stopping Antonio Pitalua in the 2nd round on April 4, 2009.
Because of his impressive and stunning habit of hammering down every opposition that hinders his relatively trouble-free ascent to the zenith of boxing prominence, Valero has been a subject of argument among boxing authorities and fans around the world. His pugilistic triumph is being questioned on account of the quality of ring antagonism he faced; as per the record he has not faced and beaten someone of established name, thus easily knocking his opponents out with his all-out attack style argued his critics. His perceptible irresponsibility at defense while he launches his haymakers adds up to the argument maintained by his unbelievers. He flings his punches as wide as a rusty gate, said Michael Marley once of him, a few years back.
On the contrary and on account of his power and gallantry, Valero has gathered supporters of his own nevertheless, and gradually managed to sway many people previously drowning in unbelief to his side after stopping the worthy challenger in Antonio DeMarco on February 2010. Prior to the fight many people were of the opinion Valero would struggle or even succumb to the taste of his first defeat, but the gritty Venezuelan ran over his Mexican opponent like a bus colliding with an automobile.
With his recently imposing victory, Valero’s name reverberated in the consciousness of the global public afresh; this time more noticed and resounding that many went into serious consideration of him being a real threat to the current pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao. A few years back Valero had been calling Pacquiao for a showdown but due to unfavorable boxing politics back then, he failed to acquire a fight with the most exciting and lucrative fighter in the planet today. The prospect of the Pacquiao – Valero face off was being ridiculed upon in consideration of Pacquiao’s lofty status and confirmed superiority over the then novice, but equally thrilling Valero. In addition, Valero is banned from fighting on US soil due to a head injury incurred during a motorcycle accident in his native Venezuela, putting him at a great disadvantage to certify himself as one of the forces to reckon with when it comes to boxing.
However his defeat of DeMarco proved Valero a vastly improved fighter in both offense and defense area, propelling his class and popularity a notch closer to Pacquiao. Therefore he was able to place himself on collision course up against the big fishes he has been longing to have a date with like Juan Manuel Marquez, Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao himself.
Bad thing, Valero already waiting for the big fights with which a victory would thrust him to greater global fame and riches he fall victim to his very self. A character problem appears to eclipse his fighting talent. Just a week ago, he was accused for allegedly beating his wife, Jennifer Carolina, with which she was hospitalized for multiple bruises and a collapsed lung. Visiting the hospital, Valero was reported to be belligerent and hostile towards doctors and other medical staff attending his wife and for that he was taken into Police custody. He denied committing such a grievous domestic hostility, explaining she suffered from an accidental fall down a flight of stairs, which was subsequently corroborated by Jennifer herself, acquitting Valero from possible stint behind bars. Not everybody was convinced, though, expectedly.
Also it can be recalled; Valero was once accused for allegedly beating his mother and sister but was immediate at getting away with it when the accusation was belied by the supposed victims themselves. Whatever the truth underlying these accusations and his exoneration from them, Valero admitted to having trouble with alcoholism and drug abuse. He has been cleared to fight in Texas; in fact the Pitalua fight was held in Austin. Unfortunately his penchant at binge drinking has brought him trouble traveling to the US yet again when he was arrested in Texas due a traffic malfeasance related to his driving under heavy influence of alcohol.
Soon after becoming free from legal trouble associated to his wife, it was reported by Johnny Gonzales of BoxingScene.com from Venezuela that he asked for professional assistance and is now bound to undergo fulltime psychiatric rehabilitation for a period of 30 days to 6 months; Valero was transported to a psychiatric center in San Juan de Dios wearing helmet and bullet proof vest due to anonymous threats to his life.
If ever there is truth after all against Valero’s harassing his wife and other members of his immediate family, such a grave act of domestic violence is unquestionably below the belt and for which he deserve due punishment. But for sure boxing would suffer losing a ring participant who holds immense potential at making the sport alive and beautiful to watch after Pacquiao. In the meantime boxing would have to wait for while Valero is fighting his rather despicable off – ring self. May he come out triumphant and hurriedly resume his impressive life in the squared ring yet again.

A Passion For Speed, And Excitement
A Passion For Speed, And Excitement
For most people, the word ” Motorcycle” automatically means the feeling of power, speed and undeniably taking over the road. You have to admit, whether you’re a rider, or have even been on a bike, you tend to admire the riders as they zip past you on the road, with the sun on them, and the open feelings of fresh air. The motorcycle, just like the car has traveled a long way in its design, coming out from a four-wheeled counterport, steam-powered, powerful machine that it is today.
By 1860, the steam engine industry with its method of mobilization and mechanization for most machines, were the power source for most forms of transportation, such as the locomotive. In 1869 steam power was applied to 2 wheeled bicycles, thus being the power sdource for the bike. One of the models had a songle-cylinder engine, with a cylindrical boiler to generate steam. and one engine boosted a 2 cylinder engine with a charcoal-fired boiler, for power. Both bikes were very impressive, however it was thought that the steam engines were impractically large for the two wheeled machines, and the idea as quickly abandoned.
In the early pioneer day of the motorcycle engineers experimented with all kinds of power sources for the bikes. Some of the sources tried are compressed air, mechanized clock work, and hydrogen gas. It wasn’t until Gottlieb Daimier applied the application of internal combustion, engine powered by gasoline that the motorcycle was considered viable. So he is credited for the first true creation of the motorcycle. After which most experiments were generally isolated to German and French design.
As motorcycles become increasingly more viable manufacturing started designing their own unique concepts and design. While single-cylinder engines, and single-speed transmission were fine, manufactures began experimenting with overhead valves, variable gears, and clutches. In fact, many of the features found on motorcycles today were originally conceived in the 1900′s but it was too costly for producton.
Between 1940 and 1950, a great number of advances were made in the motorcycle techonlogy, including improved suspension, dual seats, sidecars, and even push-button ignition on some models. At one point the motorcycle was facing great compitition from the automobile.
In the twenty-first century, motorcycle are no longer seen primarily as a mode of transportation, but more as a status symbol of one’s lifestyle, fun, good times, and luxury. While the future of the motorcycle design will likely bring several new innovations, safety is a major certain now, and to become a greater one in the future , with additional safety featrues added as part of the bikes package. Remember to always, gear up properly, meaning helmets should be worn at all times, gloves with the protective armor, a jacket, also with protective armor, and the proper footwear. Experiments are being performed currently for leg protectors, and air bags on the newer models. It is true that you have freedom of the road, power and speed at your fingertips, but use all of that in a safe way. Don’t always exercise all your options with the motorcycle.
